Eraole: multi-hybrid aircraft awarded the Janus 2021 label
Because our living environment, a real driver of evolution, is constantly improving, the French Institute of Design promotes the practice of design for the benefit of the individual, the company and the city. On March 5, 2021, the jurors awarded the JANUS de la Prospective label of excellence to ERAOLE: the future of light aviation, a single-seater biplane powered by two electric motors, solar energy, vegetable oil and hydrogen doping.
The jury, composed of 12 multidisciplinary experts, evaluated the design approach of ERAOLE, which meets the challenges of the “5E”: Economy, Aesthetics, Ergonomics, Ethics, Emotion. Thus, the jurors emphasized the advantages of ERAOLE: The particularly ingenious innovation process of the designer Raphaël Dinelli,
The use of biomimicry to find concrete solutions to technical constraints encountered during development,
The use of several complementary and environmentally friendly energy sources,
A complete control of the ecosystem, the environment, the human, the economy and the technology.
The ERAOLE vehicle is part of the list of innovations awarded by the JANUS label, such as :
The “ODICIS”, developed by THALES AVIONICS in collaboration with FELIX&ASSOCIES (JANUS de la Prospective 2018), the demonstrator of a cockpit adaptable to any civil or military aircraft.
The “SEA BUBBLES MODEL T” developed by SEA BUBBLES (JANUS de la Prospective 2018), a new type of electric river vehicle on foil for a new clean urban navigation experience: no pollution, no noise, no waves.
The “SEADRIVE CONCEPT” developed by BENETEAU in collaboration with the PEUGEOT DESIGN LAB (JANUS de la Prospective 2018), the transposition of a sophisticated automotive concept to the nautical world.
The “AR[IA]NE” developed by THALÈS (JANUS de la Prospective 2019), a collaborative sonar data analysis console for underwater mine warfare.
